As usual, when Texas forecasters predicted snow this week, we didn’t hold our breath. However Thursday we were hit with this giant snowstorm with huge flakes and snow that actually stuck. I was in shock! Even more shocking was Texas’s reaction to the snowstorm-that’s right, shutting down school (even preschool) an hour early, traffic accidents left and right, and pretty much widespread panic in all directions.

It didn’t stop Mad and Liv from getting right to work enjoying the backyard.

and yes, that is our backyard-to be recognized by the weeds.

All day Olivia kept going to the back door and saying “Mo!” which is actually translation for: figure out what I want or you will suffer the wrath…
But outside she was actually quite peaceful.

The other day we were at Costco and the girls found this little play cabin complete with a grill, cordless phone, puppet show, basketball hoop, and porch. Ryan and I joked that if we brought this thing home, the girls would likely move into it. Well, he took me up on it because Friday he surprised us all coming home in James’s van with the cabin in the back. So far nobody has moved out yet because it’s only been in tact for a couple of hours, but the girls have grilled up a mean plate of dinosaur bones, placed a few thousand phone calls, performed hours of puppet shows with puppets Honey and Honey …
If there’s even any question, Liv is to be found trapped outside the cabin, ringing the doorbell over and over and over. Tonight I overheard London say to her, “Livvy! Go play with your baby!”
Which brings me to:

I am pregnant. Yes folks, come September we will be evening things out for good! Every day the thought of four kids puts me more in a panic; however not as much as our current odd number of kids puts me in a panic. :) As expected, L & M were the last to know about their new little sibling, and seem pretty excited about it, telling just about every random stranger in Boston Market that Olivia’s getting a twin! It’s even added a new dimension to every dinner conversation yes, the ol’–how did the baby get here/how does the baby come out/is there a baby in my tummy? hoopla. And I believe we have Brent to thank for the phrase “pooping out a watermelon,” which has strangely made its way into our discussion. (Just wait until that one comes up at Boston Market…)
But I did chuckle that London’s solution to the cabin situation was to have Liv go find her own twin.

When we all know she’s just waiting for them to go to preschool so she can break into their stash. Oh that sneaky Liv. And in case anybody is wondering, L & M & O have already come up with a name for the baby (which we are 99.5% sure is a girl)-are you ready? Our baby will be named–
CUTIE.

I can’t believe how old Liv looks! So cute….a twin for Liv! I loved the pictures…that cabin is darling and if it keeps them busy for a little while, well worth the money… after all, it can’t snow in Austin every day just to keep your girls occupied! Congratulations on ‘cutie’ coming to your house! wonderful news!

Congrats! That is so exciting! I wonder if Liv will take to the new twin or if she will continue her torment of L&M.

baby cutie! cutie barlow hah! I’m surprised they didn’t choose Pink or Princess or Ariel. I am so excited for Liv to have someone! What a fun cabin by the way, Just the sort of thing we always wanted but sheets and duct tape had to do instead :) Well enjoy the snow while it lasts and keep us posted on baby cutie updates!!

Wow! Such cute pictures! Such a cute family! And another on the way. I seriously thought Ryan was lying to me when he told me you were prego. He did convince me once that Jeremy Sumpters toes got severed off… I have never trusted him since. So in the future, you should deliver news to me… I can’t say I’m jealous of the snow cause we have an excess here in Rexyburg but I wish I could have played with the girls in the snow! Remember that one General Conference that we went to that cabin and L&M loves playing in the snow? Oh such days were so long ago. Well, we will raise “cutie” right. She will know who her favorite aunt is :) …all of her aunts, I guess. I miss the Barlow family! Hugs and kisses from Auntie Jocelyn!

I leave you for just a week and everything changes. Snow in Austin and everywhere else around it, log cabins setting up shop in your back yard, and Cutie!!!!! Are you really thinking that it will be a girl? Maybe this time will have you with a boy twin…what would that be like?

I am so very excited for you and I hope that you are feeling better than when we talked last. Here is a big cheer for your Barlow #4!! Hooray!

congratulations! I can’t believe you are on number 4. Of course you cheated by having twins, and by that i mean took the hardest route possible to get two in at once. Your Liv look’s like she has red hair! Love it all and miss you! Hope you are feeling okay, wish I could do a “dream of jeanie wink” and be there to help you out. I Know, know, Know our girls would have a blast together-all pink, all princess, and Disney-they are carved fro the same stone. I wonder how that could be?hmmm.
