For some reason I keep thinking if I didn’t blog it, it didn’t happen, so here’s making up for lost time.
Regardless, the last pics you’ll get of the year 2009.

Christmas Eve we put the kids in new pajamas and went out for a drive to see the lights. After awhile, all the houses started looking the same to me, but London kept asking for “one more street!”
Most of our Christmas morning footage is on our camcorder, but it’s safe to say that some of us had a pink Christmas…

Some of us had a purple Christmas…

And Livvy’s turned into a blue Christmas when the twins took all their toys up to the landing of the stairs and Liv watched from the bottom in tears. I tried to show her what Santa brought her, but only then did it occur to me that since Livvy thinks she’s the triplet, Santa should have brought her the same things.

We loved having Ryan’s parents here for a short couple of days.
(Maddie’s obviously too relaxed to smile.)
L & M loved singing, reading, and playing games with Grandma and Papa. They even went to the lake together to ride bikes. We’ve already started the countdown for their next visit this summer.

Not to mention, Livvy finds someone who loves cupcakes just as much as she does.
And gets a new nickname…

The Angel of Destruction.
My favorite New Year’s Eve memory ever, Aunt Lonna comes to our house equipped with a pinata!
This next pic says it all.

Even Spock got in on the action.
Isn’t Gwen’s little outfit the cutest?

Don’t forget Liv.

Finally, after realizing the only one who’s even putting a dent in the thing is Harry, the adults take a crack at it.

Priceless.

Who knew that while all the kids are making a beeline for the candy, London was actually scouting for the pinata leg! Pink with fringe, a prized possession for many days to come. Oh well, to each his own, right?

When all the chaos finally settles, Liv had been sitting in the middle of all the kids, happily chomping on taffy that required the combined effort of all 8 teeth.
Following was a “fake” New Year’s Eve countdown so we could put the kids to bed; little did I know it would be my only countdown too. Maybe next year I’ll stock up on more Dr. Pepper…
Happy 2010 y’all!

I love Liv’s purpleness! So cute on her. Gotta love pinata’s. Who wouldn’t love a fancy wrapped package of goodies?
I like that you were able to get a picture of Liv sitting in the new doll bed. I am glad that she was able to have a moment of joy with them before they were wisked away upstairs. That little pinkalicious book was so cute, it had everything in it that a little girl could love, cup cakes, pink, and well more pink.
So happy to see that your pinata photos turned out well. I think that the next one that we do should be made of construction paper and not a tricky cardboard box that the kids can’t actually get into. Liv and the green tootsie roll shoved in her little mouth cracks me up. I wish every day could be as fun as that night was. Thanks for having us over to your home and letting us destroy the pinata and whatever else ended up in the wrong spot later that night.
